FREE YOGA CLASSES FOR BRAIN AND NERVE WELLNESS OFFERED AT LOCAL LIBRARIES!
I will be offering FREE Yoga Classes for Brain and Nerve Health (neurological conditions) at the Lake Travis Library, Lakeway (512.263.2885) and Lake Travis Community West in Spicewood (512.222.6366). You are welcome to call or visit either library for sign up.
This very beneficial yoga program emphasizes how movement with yoga poses increases and improves the connection with the body/mind pathways. Research shows that yoga can help with conditions like Parkinson’s, Cognitive Impairment, Multiple Sclerosis, Traumatic Brain Injuries, ADHD, and Anxiety. Yoga further enhances balance, flexibility, strength, blood flow, relaxation and an overall feeling of well-being. These special yoga sessions will be done using a chair and yoga props (blocks and straps). For those needing yoga blocks or straps, you may contact me to reserve either. Otherwise props will be offered for use during class on a first come first serve basis.
DATES & TIMES, DETAILS
The Yoga for Brain and Nerve Health classes are done in a chair and some poses will be standing while using the chair for support (if you prefer you can remain seated). Classes are approximately 45-50 minutes long. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a bottle of water if desired. All my Yoga Classes end with a 5+ minute Guided Relaxation. As with any physical activity please consult with your healthcare provider before beginning Yoga for Brain and Nerve Health classes. The community rooms at the libraries are carpeted and have chairs for participants.
